Description from the artist, Ivan Koota, who created this original artwork named The Borscht Belt ~ Family Vacation in the Catskill Mountains. Each sign is a faithful reproduction of the original signs on Old Route 17 except for the added color and grouping. It was my pleasure to create this painting in this setting since it brought back so many memories of my own family's drives to some Catskill Hotel so many times for so many years.
