The Flagler Hotel in South Fallsburg began in the 1870s as a 24 room boarding house to cater to businesses doing business with the tanneries. It eventually became the first year-round resort with a toboggan run. It also was the venue for Yesteryear Wear founder Steve Gold's Bar Mitzvah.
